Active Directory Windows 10

Active Directory Windows 10

Active Directory Windows 10 if you use Windows 10 Professional or Enterprise and remote server management, you can use Microsoft Remote Administration Tools (RSAT). This includes Active Directory users and computers and allows you to manage Windows servers and desktop computers from Windows 10-based devices.

Starting with Windows Update October 10 2018, RSAT is included as a set of Demand Features in Windows 10 itself. See the Installation Instructions below for details and additional information for recommendations and problem solving. RSAT allows IT administrators to manage Windows Server roles and properties from Windows 10-based computers.

To uninstall certain Active Directory Windows 10 devices , Update or newer

On Windows 10, open the Settings application, open Manage Optional Features, then select and uninstall the specific RSAT device that you want to delete. Note that in some cases you must manually delete dependencies. In particular, if the RSAT A tool is required by RSAT B, the option to uninstall RSAT A will fail if RSAT B is installed.

In this case, uninstall RSAT tool B first, and then delete RSAT A. The tool also notes that in some cases, it might appear to remove the RSAT tool successfully, even though the tool is still installed. In this case, restarting the computer will complete the removal of the tool.
